My Journey To Nepal
Namaste!
My journey to Nepal began in 1974, when the Bhairab Dance Ensemble from Kathmandu visited my hometown on their European tour. One of the dancers lived in my parents' house during that time. With wide eyes I admired her clothes, her beautiful hair and her special way of moving through our house. A little magic emanated from her, and I wished very much to be able to travel to her home country someday. It then took 48 years until I realized this dream.
At the end of September 2022, the plane took off from Frankfurt to take me to Kathamndu via Delhi and I was excited and nervous at the same time. At the airport in Kathmandu, Tej Panta, my guide who accompanied me throughout the five weeks of my time in Nepal, was waiting for me. He would take me to Kathmandu, on the Annapurna Circuit, where we unfortunately had to stop just before Manang due to very bad weather, to Pokhara, Bhaktapur, and at the end of my trip to a wonderful trek in the Kathmandu Valley with Khadga, Tej's father.
At the beginning of my journey, my trekking on the Annapurna Circuit took me through different vegetation zones and incomparable landscapes: from lush valleys with terraced fields where rice is cultivated, to alpine mountain meadows, to high alpine mountain regions dominated by stone. The roads in remote mountain regions are hardly paved and developed. Landslides can occur from time to time. Due to the bad weather conditions, our route was so badly muddy and blocked by landslides that the way back was very difficult. However, I always felt safe in Tej's company. He exudes a trustworthiness that is difficult to put into words.
We visited Buddhist stupas, temples, and other Hindu holy sites in Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Pokhara and the Kathmandu Valley. Tej tried to answer every question I had about the culture and the way of life. There is a seemingly wild and chaotic confusion in the cities, where people and animals move freely among bicycles, tuk-tuks, rickshaws and cars, ignoring the rules of the road. Even when traffic comes to a standstill, everyone remains calm.
I learned in the weeks to abandon myself to the natural flow on the one hand, and on the other hand to remain focused and agile while doing so. Special magic emanates from Nepal. I had never met more patient, humble, and warm people. My mind and body adapted to the rhythm of the country - I became calmer, more relaxed and had confidence in the people and their way of coping with life.
It was an incredibly moving and good time and this was largely due to Tej Panta, my very experienced mountain guide, who accompanied me safely and conscientiously during these special weeks. He always took care of everything that was necessary and feasible. I will fly to Nepal again next year. Of this I am certain.

Dear Tej, The trek to Mount Everest and Island-Peak Basecamp was very nice. Tej has prepared the entire trip, which has lasted 3 weeks, excellently and accompanied me very well, It was already my third Nepal trip together with Tej. I highly recommend him as a guide. Many greetings, including to your family. Your,
We had a super trekking tour being first time in this nice country and mainly due to Tejs experienced coaching even our senior team (average 67 years ! ) succeeded in all difficulties ( weather, trails, adapt to altitude etc )
We enjoyed very much the Annapurna mountains, all the interesting nature including the blooming Rhododendrons forest and in addition many interesting cultural sites of Kathmandu valley - we will have best memories of Nepal forever - Namaste
Thank you for organizing my first Nepal Trip. The Annapurna Circuit is really a great experience. With your well-done organization I saved lots of time for relaxing and enjoying countryside.
Best regards,
Mathias
I have made three treks in Nepal - all organized by Tej Panta of the Adventure Mountains company. Last year I went to Everest Base Camp and was guided by Bahadur Panta, a senior guide of Adventure Mountains Co. This year I plan to return to Nepal and go to the Mustang area. Tej is highly experienced and really cares about his clients. He does everything possible to ensure his clients have a rewarding safe trekking experience.
Namaste Tej,
First: it was our first trip to Nepal, but not the last.
Second: Tej Panta was our guide, and when we come next time, he has to be there again.
Our trip was organized by Carpe Diem Reisen Kassel (http://www.carpediem-reisen.de) and on the trip, we were supervised by Tej Panta (http://www.adventuremountains.com.)
The best thing is to happen for us. We had three porter. Biju,Kamising and Dhyanu. Bishu is also cooking, when you have a camping trek, and .... and .....
They make a very good job, when we came to our lodge, were the bags already in rooms. Sometimes, Biju made us special Nepalese starters. (Bhatmas sandeko, Pakaudas - excellent).
If you like nature and hiking, then you are right in Nepal. We were lucky with the weather, Three weeks sun and little clouds and no rain during the hike. Only in Pokhara it was so hazy, that we could not see the mountains.
Tej told us a lot about buddhism and hinduism, and because our group was so small, we could see many things, which are not possible with larger groups. Before and after the hike, Tej showed us a lot in Kathmandu (Pashupatinath at the Bagmati-river, Bodnath, the biggest Stupa , Bhaktapur and Thamel).
The trip was wonderful and we will think long time, and i think we will never forget. Thanks to Tej and his friends and we will come back.
Do not forget: NEPAL: Never ending peace and love.

Dear all,
It was a dream of my life to visit Nepal and the great mountains. I love mountains and being there, being a part of this wonderful environment. So by the end of 2015 I decided to realize my dream and I become a member of a trekking group to A.B.C. this year. Now I am back and can say that realizing dreams is fantastic, wonderful and unforgettable. Luckily I joined a group, which was guided by Tej! The whole group and myself had so much fun with him, felt always safe, learned may many things about Nepalese culture, the beautiful country and the wonderful people. It was a great, unforgettable experience and will definitely come back to Nepal.
Thanks to Tej and his friends!
I was part of the team who wanted to climb the Mera Peak in October 2015. It was one of the best moments in my live and I will never forget. Thank you Tej for your perfect organization. You and your crew were so friendly and you had always a smile. That was not my last time in Nepal. Next time with Tej again!

Dear Tej,
I really loved our tour! Nepal is such a beautiful and friendly country. With all its cultural heritage sites it was so interesting – even for me being a mountaineer. The whole tour was run as it had been described. The single days weren’t too long to walk and our wishes were always paid attention to. Food was good and plenty, also with enough different choices. I can truly recommend – and will recommend – your agency to everybody interested, and maybe I’ll return one day!
